The Department implements economic development programs, plans for the beneficial use of properties, reviews the design of projects, ensures construction complies with approved plans and applicable codes, assists low to moderate income families with housing, and practices long-term planning for the continuous improvement of the City.
An Economic Development Opportunities Plan has been created to guide Departmental activities and allow staff to adapt to economic trends. City staff is currently presenting this Plan to business and community partners to share findings and solicit input.
