Effective July 6, 2021, City Hall and other City facilities are open to the public on a walk up capacity. Appointments will still be highly recommended. Face coverings will still be required to be worn by the public inside all City facilities.  

The City continues to host modified and in-person events.  Please check the calendar on the City’s webpage for a list of upcoming activities. We also encourage you to follow our social media for programming updates.

The City has suspended parking citations for street sweeping until April 1, 2021. Citations for other parking related violations like preferential parking, red-curb violation, parking by a fire hydrant, illegal handicap parking, etc. will still be enforced. 

Effective August 2, 2021, the City Council meetings have resumed in person in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.

The City encourages the public to view the Council Meetings via the public access channels or website, and submit public comments via email or phone.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recommends the use of face coverings when stepping outside the home to conduct essential services. Wearing a cloth face covering does not eliminate the need to physically distance yourself from others and to wash your hands frequently.

EVICTION INFORMATION 

Los Angeles County has approved protections for all renters by extending its moratorium on evictions until September 30, 2021. The moratorium prohibits residential and commercial evictions for nonpayment of rent, late fees, and related costs due to a loss of business or household income caused by COVID-19.

 MORTGAGE RELIEF INFORMATION

On March 25, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that financial institutions will provide major financial relief for millions of Californians suffering financially as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Under the Governor’s proposal, Californians who are struggling with the COVID-19 crisis may be eligible for the following relief upon contacting their financial institution:

• 90-day grace period for mortgage payments
• No negative credit impacts resulting from relief 
• Moratorium on initiating foreclosure sales or evictions
• Relief from fees and charges
