In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in a City meeting or other services offered by this City, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (562) 929-5720. Notification of at least 48 hours prior to the meeting or time when services are needed will assist the City staff in assuring that reasonable arrangements can be made to provide accessibility to the meeting or service.

Study Session Meetings of the City Council are held, when required, on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Norwalk City Hall.  Special meetings are called when necessary.

REGARDING PUBLIC MEETINGS

Until further notice, the City Council meetings will be conducted pursuant to the provisions of the Governor's Executive Order N-25-20, which does allow for City Council and/or staff to teleconference.

As a precaution to protect both staff, our constituents, and elected officials, public access to the meeting in person will not be allowed due to the Governor's Executive Order.  You may watch the meeting from home on Charter Channel 3, Verizon Fios Channel 32, or livestream through the City's website. 

Additionally, as City Council meetings are now closed to the public, if you wish to make a comment on an agenda item or provide oral communications (during regular meetings), you may provide input either by phone or electronically through a temporary public comment email established for City of Norwalk City Council meetings.  Follow this procedure:

1. By Email:  publiccomments@norwalkca.gov

Please identify the specific item or whether your comment is for oral communications (items not on the agenda) and limit your comments to 3 minutes maximum, which is the same time allotted at meetings.  Emails will be read during the meeting.

2. By phone:

Call the City Clerk's Department at (562) 929-5720 prior to the meeting to let staff know that you would like to make a comment during the meeting. You will be asked for your name, phone number, and the item number so that staff may call you during the meeting at the appropriate time.
